Aragon Getaway Cottage Location: Emsdale Lake, Kearney, Near North, Ontario.
Located a short distance from the village of Kearney, this bright and open three bedroom, two bathroom cottage on Emsdale Lake, is the perfect location any time of year.
The large living room, that has a great view of the lake, offers lots of seating, a propane fireplace, and a walkout to the wrap around deck. The well-equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, is adjacent to the dining area where there is seating for six. The open concept is great for spending time with the chef, without getting in the way.
The master bedroom with a queen size bed, has a great view of the lake and also has access to the deck through sliding glass doors. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen size bed. A renovated four-piece bathroom, completes the main level.
Downstairs, curl up with a book or enjoy a game of pool in the large recreation room. A variety of board games are available as well. Sliding glass doors provide access to the outside. A three-piece bathroom and laundry are located on this lower level.
A Muskoka room off the dining room, is a great spot to sit and reflect on the day's adventures. The deck, which wraps around from the living room right across the front of the cottage, is the perfect spot for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee, or barbequing lunch or dinner.
A set of stairs leads you down to a nice flat grassy area, perfect for playing outdoor games. From here a gentle slope leads to the waterfront and dock. You will also find a firepit perfect for roasting marshmallows and having a campfire sing along.
In the winter time, the cottage is your perfect winter paradise. Bring your snowmobile and explore the best snowmobile trails in the area. The town of Kearney also hosts an annual Poker Run. Other activities include dog sledding and ice fishing. Come and see the best dog sled races in Ontario, which take place in Kearney in the month of February.
