Wooden Peterborough Aykroyd Sailboat, 14' 1920's (+ or -)

Very unusual antique Aykroyd dinghy. It is a sloop with a rare Flying
Gunther rig made by the Peterbourgh Boat Co. It was first seen on Ahmic
Lake in the early 30's as a used boat. I was told that it was probably
made around 1920 plus or minis. After a total restoration completed in
1980 which included a mahogany  white seam plank deck, new stem,
mahogany centerboard trunk, keel and replacement of most of the oak
steam bent ribs , new rudder and some brass hardware, it won the the
regatta on Ahmic Lake 3 times. With its new North sails and 3 coats of
Petit Flagship varnish in 2007, it is in ready to show condition. It is
light, tight and fast! When in use, it has been dry docked on our dock
to keep it light. The pictures show how high it sits in the water. This
boat is in exquisite condition and perhaps the only one in existence of
its kind.
