Who says you can’t enjoy wooden boating in the winter! You can…wooden ice boating that is!
Bill Buchholz from the Camden, Maine area, has built an ice racing sail boat that would be perfect for Muskoka, especially if we had a fast lake freeze without a snow load!
The video below features a shakedown romp on Bill’s new 15 meter class iceboat. This design, raced for years in isolation behind the Iron Curtain, finally comes to America in Bill’s exquisite craftsmanship. Sail and plans (and video music) came from Estonia, on the Baltic Sea.
