Andrew H. Smith also known as H built this beautiful 22ft wooden boat using plans designed by Nelson Zimmer called the Palm Beach.

The frames are ash, while the stringers are white oak.

He started with an electric planer and then to hand planning for a proper fairing job.Well that says a bit about the double planked bottom which is ready for painting

Side ply work done two layers of 1/8 to be coverd by 5/16 of Mahogany

A very interesting way to turn over the boat and all the hardware is custom made by Andrew.

Check out how a steering wheel is fabricated

Just a totally rebuilt LT-1 corvette engine which he did all the work.

The sides are Philippine Mahogany while the deck also has curly maple. Note the custom side exhaust and the windshield is also custom made as well. He also fashioned and made his own cutwater and transom bands.

A fantastic wooden boat that captured the Graves Plating Award at the 2006 Mt.Dora Wooden Boat Show.

Well Done Andrew. email andyhsmith at hotmail.com
