1968 Chris Craft 26 foot Cavalier Cutlass "Dory" Wood cruiser with trailer

HIN # VXE-26-3003C

Only 220 of these boats were produced between 66-68. Having done some research, this is a rare classic Chris Craft.

Beam is 10 feet, draft is 26", fuel capacity is 80 gallons, ½" plywood bottom with 3/8" plywood lapstreak sides. Engine is original 327F 210HP with 1504 hrs. Runs very well. Cuddy cabin has twin v berths, porta potty and storage.

Chris Craft considered this to be an offshore model styled after the traditional Grand Banks Dory. Original specs indicate 36 mph.

Boat weighs approx 3500lbs and includes a dual axle Load Rite trailer with hydrolic brakes, good bearings & good tires, tows very well. Boat has full canvas camper enclosure (bimini with add on camper top)with all side curtains & screens (in very good condition) plus an angled mooring cover and a full mooring cover (note: full mooring needs minor repair).

Cushions are in very good condition. Has fresh paint & varnish. Trim tabs were removed but pump, hydrolics and internal wiring are all in place. Instruments include a Hummingbird depth finder, compass and a older model GPS that needs to be connected. Has original CC fold up swim ladder that hooks into transom brackets and when not in use, it stores as a foot rest on passenger side in cockpit. Wiring is all original CC in very good condition, harness has not been cut up, any add ons were neat & professional. 2 Bildge pumps in good working order (1 500 & 1 1000) larger pump is set up for secondary pumping if necessary. Bildge is very clean, has high quality stainless steel mufflers (very quiet), 2 batteries with alternating switch, new alternator. Helm is all original and in good condition.

This boat is very solid and does not require "swelling" since it has a plywood bottom. This is a great, large, roomy, lightweight, durable, seaworthy, towable classic Chris Craft. Great family day or overnight boat

Price:  $13,500
