Chris Craft Riviera: 18 ft., 1951

(Notes form the owner below:)
1951 Chris Craft Riviera.  I recently put $80k into the restoration of Tenby.  No expense was spared as I was expecting to keep her (I have owned her for 20 years (so had very carefully planned this restoration).  However, we will be spending more time on Georgian Bay.  She is a gorgeous craft and is essentially a new boat.
New bottom, new keel, many boards replaced with matching mahogany, new interior, all chrome redone, engine was out and totally rebuilt, all new electric…its spectacular.  (Included in the sale is a tandem axle trailer in excellent condition, all running gear and very expensive rope fenders))

Price: $65,000     For further details and contact information,  please click on the link.  Ad number pb844.  Addtional photos below.

“This model was once called the quintessential wooden boat by Chris-Craft and was one of only 288 Rivieras built by them between 1948 and 1952. It was fabricated out of Philippine and Honduran varnished mahogany planks on oak frames. It has the original 6 cyl Kermath model K 95 hp engine with one single updraft carburetor. The engine was rebuilt in the early 1990s and would not have more than 100 hours on it since then. An original runabout . All original except additional battery and master switch, electric fuel pump and additional bilge pump. Hull is original and has never had a West System. The Chris-Craft hull is well known to be of Double Plank construction.  Restoration included new chrome, sanding deck and refinishing. It is winterized each season and stored  in a cool dry building during the winter.”
