G.W Noble Sloop; 26 ft., 1966
Felicity
“Beautiful 26’ sloop built in 1966 by G.W. Noble in Thornbury, Ontario. Mahogany planked over laminated oak ribs; all bright work is mahogany except Sitka mast/boom. Cabin construction seems to follow 1949 drawing of “Tradewinds” by Crocker except for squaring off of the forward cabin end. Before owners’ death he meticulously maintained the boat with yearly re-varnishing of all brightwork, mast and boom. Current owner passed away in 2018 and boat has not been in water since 2017 but was always very watertight. Also a few spots in cockpit and on upper rails where sanded and taped but needs varnish applied. 2 cyl Reynolds diesel engine installed in 1978 and has low mileage and yearly maintenance. Bathroom available but unused by current owners. Forward bunk and 2 side seat/bunks in main cabin. Small sink in main cabin and electrical capabilities but no stove. Includes 3 sails (main, jib and mizzen) with newer storage bags, dockbox, bumpers, cushions and storage trailer. Also included are any tools specific for the boat and motor maintenance, varnish, anti- fouling and outer coating. Inside winter storage for all components yearly. Boat located in Goderich Ontario. Asking $8,000 but reasonable offers will be considered.”
