David Berg, of Berg boats, has reproduced a number of iconic antique and classic designed watercraft. Two of these unique boats, Copernicus and the Atkin Flyer, are featured below.
Berg Boats (Crouch Design) runabout, 24 ft, 2002
Copernicus is a 1920s George Crouch displacement runabout. Planked red cedar on steam bent oak frames (traditionally built) All hardware cast by the builder. Custom convertible top and red dot heater installed. Book matched decks. 2003 Victoria B.C. boat show winner for best runabout. A true work of art.
Copernicus is powered by a four cylinder Mercruiser engine which pushes her to 20 mph. Included in the sale is a single axle trailer in good condition with a 3000 lb capacity.

Reproduction 1930 Atkin Flyer, Double Stepped Hydroplane 20 ft., (built 2005)
Atkin Flyer is a 1930 Wm Atkin designed 335 Class raceboat.The Flyer is in excellent condition. It is powered with a V12 Jag motor that has been marinized by the builder, including 2-4bbl intake and water jacketed marine exhaust manifolds. The engine is a bit tired but a spare is available. The sides are cold molded cedar and the bottom is mahogany plywood. The decks are red cedar over mahogany plywood book matched coverboards. Most of the hardware was designed and cast by the builder. The Atkin Flyer has won many boat show awards. The racer comes with a single axle Quality trailer (3000 lb capacity)
