Work Continues on a Greavette Streamliner and Black Bird Storm:
The beautiful Streamliner in Paul Hunter’s Port Sydney shop is nearing the finish line. Twenty-five coats of varnish have been applied to the hull and top sides of this beautiful Greavette. Why does it look dusty? It’s awaiting a buffing with Paul’s “magic sauce” on a rotary soft pad with 4000 grit…so gentle, the grit can’t be discerned by a finger touch.
Next door, thin-width layers of solid mahogany are being applied to the freeboard of a mammoth Black Bird Storm. This boat is really beginning to look exciting. (Photos below)
