New photos and video of rare Richardson Picnic Launch

July 29, 2020 in Uncategorized

Richardson Picnic Launch: 22 ft, 1939
This rare Richardson launch underwent extensive refurbishing in 2010 by Barron’s Custom Boats in Midland, Ontario. More than $23,000 in restorative work was carried out (including a new hard top). According to an available marine survey by Barrie Marine Surveyors and appraisers in 2010, reported that the boat is in “exceptionally good condition, considering her vintage.” The Richardson is powered by a 4 cylinder 1981 Volvo Penta engine, (135 b.p.h.) The marine survey estimated the fair market value of “Babe” at $33,000 to $35,000
The history of the launch can be found in the text among the photos.
The launch is turn-key and ready for inspection.
Original price:$20,000.
New price: (March, 2020) $15,000 or best offer. Owner will consider a trade for a vintage auto.

Our newest listing: an antique sailing dory, 16 ft.

July 28, 2020 in Uncategorized

Antique Sailing Dory: 16 ft.

Antique, wood, rowing/sailing dory in very good condition. She is 16 feet long and has a beam of 4 feet 6 inches with a mahogany floor. She is christened ‘TOAD’. She has a double set of oars for rowing by two “sailors”, and she has a mast with a light brown mainsail for sailing. Trailer is included. The rudder and tiller are missing, but a new one can easily be made by someone handily adroit using mahogany or teak wood: The stern brackets for the rudder are already attached on the stern – see the last picture included.
(Editors Note. The beautiful lines on this dory seem very similar to the famous and versatile Whitehall design)

Price: The asking price is $3900, or best offer.  For further details and contact information, please click on the link. Ad number pb910
